Dough Sheeters

Many bakeries and pizza shops across Canada that make their own dough will need a dough sheeter. As the name suggests, a dough sheeter flattens your dough to a consistent thickness, perfect for pizza crusts, pie crusts, tortillas, and more. We’ve been selling dough sheeters for around 30 years, so here are a few tips on what to consider before buying.

First, think about your daily output. Are you making 5 batches of dough per day or 50? That will have a big impact on the type of machine you need. Also consider the size of each batch. If you’re already using a spiral mixer, planetary mixer, or a dough divider, make sure the sheeter you choose matches that capacity. You don’t want a large mixer feeding into a small sheeter that can’t keep up.

Decide where the sheeter will go in your kitchen. Do you need a countertop model, or is there space for a floor model? Also think about how wide you need your sheets of dough to be. Some of our reversible models can even be folded up for easy storage when not in use, saving you valuable space.

Different sheeters are better suited to different types of dough. If you're making puff pastry or strudel, you might want a different model than if you're mostly doing pizza or pie crusts. Check the manufacturer’s specs to make sure the machine fits your needs. In French, these are sometimes called "Laminoir," which means rolling mill.
